10 best books of September: the Monitor's picks

Of the many excellent books coming our way this fall, here are 10 September releases that the Monitor's book critics particularly enjoyed.

7. "On Inequality," by Harry G. Frankfurt

Bestselling author and professor emeritus of philosophy at Princeton University Harry G. Frankfurter tackles the difficult subject of economic inequality in his latest book. Here, Frankfurter argues that society's goal should not be to create equality, but rather to eliminate poverty. Frankfurter posits the need to make sure all are able to live decently as a moral imperative. You can read the Monitor's full review of "On Inequality" here.
