This history of Orville and Wilbur Wright and the early days of aviation focuses on the bitter rivalry between the Wright Brothers and Glenn Hammond Curtiss, who fought the Wrights for early control of the skies. Goldstone's book is both engaging and informative and should succeed in pleasing general readers even as it manages to offer enough new material to surprise those more knowledgeable about the field.
