Found In Translation is a fascinating meditation on the many ways in which language translation shapes our day-to-day lives. There isn鈥檛 much practical information here, but it鈥檚 an entertaining and thought-provoking book for anyone who is interested in language. I think the authors over-emphasize business-related translation, not least because these connections seem more obvious than others in the book. Plus, the authors鈥 perspective 鈥 on both the global economic order and the transformative power of the Internet 鈥 seems a bit rosy and idealistic. Still, this is the first popular book of its kind, and it offers a new and refreshing take on translation as craft rather than mindless repetition.
