I discovered 鈥淔reight Train鈥� just as we began our unit on transportation. My students loved this book because they could 鈥渞ead鈥� along with me by saying the colors of all of the train cars and because the train is moving fast. Speed is of utmost importance to preschoolers 鈥� just ask them to run for you on the playground. I loved this book because of the rich train vocabulary. Thanks to Crews, my kids now know all about hopper cars and trestles.
