"Don Quixote" 鈥� the masterwork of 17th-century Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes and a novel considered to be the best work of fiction of all time by the organizers of this list 鈥� is the story of a man originally known as Alonso Quijano, who reads too many chivalric novels and comes to believe himself to be a knight.
