6. Avoiding toxins

In an effort to avoid what some people believe are toxins in everyday items, Jacobs consulted his aunt Marti, who gave him a list of rules to live by. He decided to follow them for a week. "For my shower soap, I'm using olive oil mixed with mineral salts... felt very ancient Roman," Jacobs wrote. "For shampoo, baking soda and apple-cider vinegar. Took forever to wash it out, but my hair feels supersoft and now has Einstein-like antigravity properties."
