She also helped chop firewood for others and earned a small amount of money for it, which she was happy to contribute to the meager household income. Today, in a village in another village in 驰耻肠补迟谩苍, children who are two or three help with tasks like washing clothes or feeding the chickens. One researcher noted how the Maya, in trusting children with some jobs, are available to their children for help but also give them leeway to make mistakes 鈥 and learn from them 鈥 as they do their chores.
