Authors Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson took on J.M. Barrie's legendary "Peter Pan" with their 2004 children's book "Peter and the Starcatchers," which tells a story that takes place before the events of the original. In Barry and Pearson's tale, an orphan named Peter meets well-to-do Molly on a ship bound for the mysterious land of Rundoon. The novel became a bestseller, meeting with mostly positive reviews, and several sequels were written by the duo.
