Film critics pick the 50 best movies of all time

From film critics Gail Kinn and Jim Piazza's new book 'The Greatest Movies Ever,' their picks for the 50 greatest films

10. 'Singin' In The Rain'

The 1952 film directed by Stanley Donen showed that "everybody's 'Gotta Dance,'" wrote the critics.

Many of the songs in the movie had already appeared in other films 鈥 for example, "Singin' in the Rain" was used in the movie "The Hollywood Revue of 1929" and in the 1940 movie "Little Nellie Kelly," among others, as well as recorded by various artists.

According to , star Gene Kelly performed the title number with a 103-degree fever.
