Mary Roach may be better known as a science writer, but this collection of the 鈥淢y Planet鈥� columns she wrote for Reader鈥檚 Digest for many years is warm, smartly written, wryly humorous, and very entertaining. Unfortunately the production values of this recording are poor, with a strange, muffled quality to the sound 鈥� so much so that I鈥檓 lowering what would otherwise have been a higher grade. Also, Angela Dawe reads too quickly and too emphatically, which sometimes erodes the humor. Grade: B鈥�
