Mother Teresa: 10 inspiring quotes

Mother Teresa was born to an Albanian family on August 26, 1910, in Skopje (today the capital of Macedonia). Her birth name was Anjez毛 Gonxhe Bojaxhiu. At the age of 18 she left home to become a missionary, leaving behind her mother and her sister, neither of whom she would ever see again. Today Mother Teresa is remembered as the founder of the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic congregation of more than 4,500 sisters in 133 countries, dedicated to offering "Wholehearted and Free service to the poorest of the poor."
