Muddy Waters, born McKinley Morganfield, was a vocalist and guitarist and became prominent in the late 1940s when singles released through Chess Records, at which he became a fixture, became hits. He was called the "father of Chicago Blues," and electrified audiences in England when he played there in the 1958. Waters is best known for songs such as "Rollin' Stone," "You Need Love" and "I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man."
