Taylor Luck took the road less travelled from the Midwest to the Mideast (listen to the audio) where he is now a Middle East North Africa correspondent for the Monitor.
For the past 14 years, Taylor has reported from the Arab world - from Morocco to the UAE, and most places in between - living among communities as well as reporting on them. More often than not you can find him in his adopted home of Amman, Jordan.
His time in the region has been marked by wars, revolutions, refugee crises, and extremism, but Taylor also sees something else: generosity, dignity, ingenuity, hope鈥� and brings that to readers as real and as raw as he lives it.
Having prayed and reported in Jerusalem and Mecca, Taylor has found that living at the crossroads of different faiths has reinforced his own faith in our common humanity and borderless values.
As an analyst of Arab political affairs, Taylor has been interviewed in English and Arabic by Al Arabiya, Al Jazeera Net, NPR, Fox News, and Radio Al Balad, among others. His previous bylines have appeared in The Washington Post and The Guardian and as a correspondent for the Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa).
