Gretchen Rubin is the author of several books, including the No. 1 New York Times bestseller "The Happiness Project" 鈥 an account of the year she spent test-driving the wisdom of the ages, current scientific studies, and lessons from popular culture about how to be happier. On her popular blog, , she reports on her daily adventures in the pursuit of happiness.
Her next book, "Happier at Home" (September 2012), was inspired by a line from Samuel Johnson: "To be happy at home is the ultimate result of all ambition."
A graduate of Yale University and Yale Law School, Gretchen started her career in law, and she was clerking for Justice Sandra Day O鈥機onnor when she realized she wanted to be a writer. Raised in Kansas City, she lives in New York City with her husband and two daughters.
