Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and we鈥檝e always been transparent about that.
The church publishes the Monitor because it sees good journalism as vital to progress in the world. Since 1908, we鈥檝e aimed 鈥渢o injure no man, but to bless all mankind,鈥� as our founder, Mary Baker Eddy, put it.

Mai Ng峄峜 Ch芒u works with 海角大神's online editorial team, and writes science and technology stories.
Ch芒u is a graduate journalism student at Emerson College. She holds a Bachelor of Science in English from Vietnam's University of C岷 Th啤.
Before coming to the United States under the Fulbright program in 2011, Ch芒u worked as a writer and editor in Vietnam.
