Husna Haq has been the Home Forum editor since 2023, and a Monitor Daily editor since 2018. She joined the Monitor in 2009 as an intern, and has worked as an editor and a writer for the website and The Monitor Weekly magazine. Prior to joining the weekly magazine, she worked on the rapid response team, where she wrote daily on national news and politics. She has covered national news, politics, culture, books, and business for the Monitor. She currently edits The Home Forum.
Husna has been a journalist for nearly 20 years, and has worked with National Geographic, BBC, History Channel, and the Boston Globe, in addition to The Monitor.
She holds a Master of Science in journalism from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and political science from Syracuse University.
