A Learning story on college guidebooks on P. 15 of the Dec. 5 edition gave incorrect information about the fall freshman class at Harvard. There were 18,691 applicants, of whom 2,035 were admitted - or 10.9 percent. Nearly 3,000 high school valedictorians applied.
