Soviet official says his force testing MX, cruise versions
The Soviet Union is successfully testing its own versions of the MX missile and the long-range cruise rocket, a Moscow magazine reported Wednesday. It quoted Marshal Vladimir Tolubko, head of Soviet Strategic Rocket Forces, as saying Moscow was carrying out a pledge made in 1983 to match Washington's MX and cruise development programs.
