Reagan will not advise social security panel

The White House said Monday that President Reagan wants his presidential commission on reforming the social security system to draw up recommendations on a nonpolitical basis without pressure from him or his advisers. The White House was responding to a complaint by Sen. Robert Dole (R) of Kansas that Mr. Reagan had failed to guide the commission and the Republican leadership on the issue.
